Print and Monsoon

Hola Fam ❤

Rainy days seem like paradise when you are at home, reading your favorite book and sipping a cup of coffee. However, the real struggle begins when you need to step out of your abode. You must always keep essentials handy so the rain doesn’t spoil your day.

The monsoon season presents a great opportunity to make a fashion statement. But sadly we only think of combating the rain and the sludge. Here’s how you can do this while still looking fashionable as the skies open. Footwear is all important because your footwear is the first to encounter the dirt and mud. A lot of people prefer boots but make sure they are in funky ‘Leatherite’ material. Rexine slip-on’s also work. Stay away from pretty sandals and slippers, as the best of them are bound to be ruined by the rains. It is also important to keep an extra pair of shoes at the office so that you can change into dry footwear once you’re inside.

Okay, the verdict is out. A bright, butterfly-print top might be the best piece of clothing for the transitional season. Keep the solid colors away and say hello to pretty prints that demand attention. Print looks fresh as a daisy in a short number that is sure to drive all your monsoon blues away. The white color gives the butterfly print a grunge edge. What’s not to love?

Colors that work in this season are medium brights. I am wearing a white butterfly print statement sleeve top with white jeans. The top has baby pink and black print on it, so I apt for pink gladiators. For hair style I have gone for a high-pony because during monsoon you never know when is it going to rain.
